Every year, a group of Peruvians in Munich comes together to organize a charity concert aimed at supporting underprivileged children and youth in Peru. Behind this event, there’s much more than just music and dance; here’s a little insight into what the event has to offer.
WHO ORGANIZES IT?
CCPeru in Munich is the non-profit association behind Tarpuy. I recently started collaborating with them, and what’s interesting is that it all began by chance when I attended one of their cultural events during Christmas, driven by nostalgia for the country I left not too long ago and, to be honest, also by the craving for Peruvian food, which is always present at their events.

In 2025, the funds raised from the Tarpuy charity concert will go to support underprivileged children and youth in the Miramar community in Moche.
2025 PERFORMANCES
Here are the groups that will be part of Tarpuy 2025:
Los Temperamentos
A musical ensemble specializing in Baroque music and Latin American rhythms.
Koitaboch Musi
A Bavarian band that blends traditional music with a modern twist.
Corazón Peruano
CCPeru’s dance group, showcasing the essence of Peruvian folklore with every movement.
WHY SHOULD YOU GO?
If you ask me, the main reason I’d recommend attending is to support the social project in Miramar. On the other hand, whether you’re Peruvian or not, this is a unique opportunity to connect with Peruvian culture and meet people with fascinating stories of integration in Germany.

If I were to ask my inner child, they’d undoubtedly go for the Peruvian food and drinks, as well as the traditional dances. From my perspective, It is not common to have the opportunity to see Peruvian dance in Germany. But that’s just my opinion. In the end, the Tarpuy event offers a little something for everyone, catering to all tastes, in both Spanish and German.
WHEN AND WHERE?
In 2025, the Tarpuy event will take place on Saturday, March 15, at 7:30 PM at Amerikahaus. Since it is also aimed at a German audience, it is recommended to arrive at least 30 minutes early to avoid any inconveniences.

Based on my last experience at Tarpuy, most attendees wore elegant or smart casual attire, although I didn’t find any specific dress code information in the event description.
CONCLUSION
In my opinion, Tarpuy is one of the most special events of the year in the Latin scene in Munich. Whether you attend to support the social project in Peru, because you’re passionate about culture, or simply to meet new people and enjoy great food, this event reflects the love and effort of Peruvians by birth and at heart.
